Hotel Equatorial Cameron Highlands

Hotel Equatorial Cameron Highlands lobby

Hotel Equatorial Cameron Highlands is located at the Kea Farm area. It is also the highest point of the road connecting from Blue Valley to Brinchang and Tanah Rata onwards.

This is a star rated hotel in Cameron Highlands so don't expect any economy budget accommodation. You pay for what you get. You want to stay here cheaper than their publish rate, and if you hold various Malaysian credit card then look out for their promotion every often.

My last stay was many years ago and I got a very good promotional rate from my Direct Access / CIMB Bank credit card. You never know which bank's credit card will have the promotion (eg AmBank, EON Bank, RHB Bank, etc) so you just have to wait till you see the promo on your credit card flyer.

Usually the promotion is for the low season during weekday. If you can get the chance during that during is not too bad as you pretty much avoid the heavy crowds.

The Equatorial hotel room is nice and clean, but I find their service average. I had blown bulb in my bathroom but it took ages for the maintenance guy to come fix it. Other than that, the room is really great! My wife love it and asked me when we would get a chance to stay again. With so many places to try out, I don't think it will be anytime soon. I took the valley view room and have a nice grand view of the road coming up from Tringkap. At night I could see the headlights of cars zooming up the Cameron Highlands winding road.

Being at the highest point of the Cameron Highlands road at 1,628 meters or 5,300 feet above sea level, it gets really cold at night!

Apart from rooms they also have apartment units. They also share a space with Natasya Resort, which I believe they sold some apartment units to Perwanza Company to manage.

Location wise, it is a little too far from Tanah Rata and Brinchang town, but they are really close to Boh Sungai Palas Tea Plantation and of course shorter distance to the Simpang Pulai route. And of course they sit right smack in Kea Farm so if you like to "borong" as one of my readers said it, whack up all the vegetables and potted plants just a stone throw away from your hotel accommodation, then Equatorial Hotel Cameron Highlands is the place to hold up during your vacation holiday stay in Cameron Highlands!

So how about your stay? Leave your brief review about Hotel Equatorial Cameron Highlands!
